I know that for issues involving "the mind" it is best to consult a homeopath for constitutional care. I did just that. I have been suffering from severe depression, which has been resistant to all allopathic medicine for almost two years. I have tried everything to get well. I want to live.
It seems that the situation is confused by the fact that I am also going through menopause. One homeopath told me that finding the right constitutional remedy would take care of everything. Another told me I should look into bio-identical hormones.
I am totally confused.
My homeopath has gone on medical leave after giving me Carconisin which I did not respond to. I don't know why I didn't respond. They have given me the name of another homeopath. All of this is long distance since there are no practitioners in our immediate area.
I have read the name cases of people successfully treated by homeopathy. I'm trying to avoid drastic treatments such as ECT. I just wonder if I'm wasting more time and resources.
When my case was taken my homeopath, who I really liked, came up with a remedy very quickly. Hardly any information was taken. I felt fine with what they prescribed. If they were well, I would continue to try working with them. But they seem now to not be interested in the case. I think the severity of my condition is to blame.
Is it realistic to believe that homeopathy can treat severe depression or not? I do believe but I don't want to kill off my family members (figuratively speaking) if it isn't. I can try lithium, although I really don't want to do that to my organs.
I could use some advice.

I guess I'm having trouble finding that right person.
I've just had the one experience. I really liked the homeopath but I think perhaps she jumped before getting all the information. She's ill now so I have to either start over or well that's pretty much what I would need to do.
I've been very careful to maintain a healthy diet and do supplement as well. I do light exercise. Not as active as some due to some disability but I'm trying.
This all began with a breakdown, something I've never experienced before. It was after a series of traumatic losses.
Hormones could be and most likely are playing a role. I was told that constitutional treatment would cover everything. I mean hormones, etc.
I have a supportive family and friends who I love and who love me. I don't know of any other maintaining causes. I had blood work done when this started to check thyroid, etc. It was okay.
I'm definitely going through the change and have many symptoms from it.
I did not know homeopathy existed when this started. I wish I had. I want to live. I want to be well.
Do you know of anyone who you might recommend?
Thank you for answering.
