Three months ago I adopted a nine month old domestic brown tabby, so he is now one year. A few weeks after I adopted him, I noticed some bumps on the back of his leg (rear thigh). They were (and are) in a linear pattern. At first, it was just his right leg, but now it's also on his left and they seems to be itchy for him. I have taken him to two vets. The first gave him a depo-medrol (prednisone) shot. As soon as it wore off, the bumps returned. I then went to a holistic pet store and they recommended Thuja and Arsenicum. I'm sure there was some effect, but the bumps are still there and the itching has begun. I'm not sure how long I should have continued the Arsenicum, assuming that was the right choice. The second vet was more holistic. She recommended fish oil, Berberis (still have to obtain), Guafenisen (still have to obtain) and essential oils.
I am trying to find what allergen there may be, whether it be environmental or food. It is possible, too, that it was from having vaccinations so soon (likely after he had them during his first adoption).
Since I have had personal success with homeopathy, I thought I would continue to pursue this with my cat. I found this site and am hoping for some remedy suggestions before I place an order.
I am grateful for any advice...homeopathic or otherwise.
