Hi again, it's been a while since I've been here, but once again we need your help and knowledge.
Our almost 11 year old Lab, Opal, "appears" to have the early stages of Cushing's disease. Repeated blood and urine tests are leaning towards Cushing's. We have been treating her (with our holistic vet's guidance) with herbs, supplements and homeopathies. Right now she gets Arnica Montana for pain and inflamation (also for her arthritis), and Chelidonium - 1 X daily. This is a repeated treatment since past September - 1 week on, 2 weeks off (along with supplements and herbs). We see positive improvement when Opal is on these, otherwise she's sluggish and pants a lot.
I've been reading about other homeopathies to consider, which may also help Opal for the long-term, but wonder what your thoughts and recommendations are on Cushing's disease and homeopathic treatments.
I can send your question to Dr. Deva Khalsa, who writes our Holistic Vet column every month. She will respond in the upcoming April 18th issue of Homeopathy 4 Everyone. I don't think she'll want to second guess your vet, who took the whole case, but she may have some general ideas or suggestions.
