Can any one help me with this problem many times I find that with correct prescription of a homeopathic remedy, mentals improve but sever pain in certain parts of body.  I prescribed 1M Natrum-m for a patient and he has sever bone pains which he can not tolerate any solution to this problem or does he have to bear that pain till it subsides by itself.  In another case prescribed Naja 200 C  for a girl her anxiety of health improved but she had a sever elbow pain.  She went to the alopath and he prescribe a steroid her pain improved and her Anxiety came back worse.  So I asked her to repeat Naja 200C anxiety improved and elbow pain came back, but to a lesser degree.

IF it’s a return of old symptoms then it’s a healing aggravation. If you read the 6th edition of the Organon you’ll see that Hahnemann didn’t favor aggravations and wanted to avoid them.  In chronic cases it is safer to start low, like 6c or LM1.  Some patients even need to have the remedy made even more subtle, such as using LM1 diluted to the 3rd, 4th, 5th cup or more.  Should you antidote such aggravations? If as you say the patient can’t tolerate the aggravation, then you need to antidote, or use a a lower potency, or even give a remedy for the specific pain.

Kent in his philosophy lecture 35 says-

The eleventh observation is when old symptoms are observed to reappear.
In proportion as old symptoms that have long been away return just in that proportion the
disease is curable.
They have only disappeared because newer ones have come up.
It is quite a common thing for old symptoms to appear after the aggravation has come,
and hence we see the symptoms disappearing in the reverse order of their coming.

Those symptoms that are present subside, and old symptoms keep coming up.
The physician must know himself that the patient is on the road to recovery, and it is well
to say to the patient that this is encouraging ; that diseases get well from above
downwards, etc.
Old symptoms often come back and go off without any change of medicine.
It indicates that the medicine must be let alone.
If the old symptoms come back to stay then a repetition of the dose is often necessary.

THIS WAS THE WRONG THEORY Treat whatever comes to the surface. ALWAYS HAVE IN MIND THAT I HAVE TO TREAT THE PATIENT.
