We adopted a kitten (Winston) a month ago and within 2 weeks we noticed his belly was getting bigger. We took it to our vet to get his rabies shot and to ask about his swollen belly. She took his temperature which was 104 and checked for fluid. She was able to collect some fluid which was light yellow. She said the kitten had FIP and would probably not live long. She said we could try steroids but would only buy a little time. I took him to another vet for a second opinion, and she also thought is was FIP. I had her drain the fluid so he could breath easier and sent some off for testing. She called me today and said the results were indication of FIP.

He has diarrhea and swollen belly, but is still active and eats like a horse. He is also very loving, our family and cat are already very attached to this little guy. I am looking for some support, solutions, remedies, anything to try to help Winston get better. I know my time is limited and I cant seem to find anyone locally to help. I read one article that said to change diet to raw food, such as meat and liver. Also a teaspoon of pure rice bran and cooked pumpkin, and the remedy of FIP/FIV/FeLV 30c. However it said that in advance case of FIP this wouldn’t work. If there is anyone that has experience with FIP or knows of something that may help, PLEASE Contact me. jwallace@subfloorsolutions.com or 704-634-9283.

Thanks

John:  sorry to hear about Winston, and I know nothing about CATS, but I know that homeopathy can help.  You definitely need a homeopath, and now.  I can communicate with you and give you mine.  He is a very well established homeopath and told me he does work with pets.

Yes.  RAW FOOD.  I’m a dog person, but there is a Yahoo group rawcat@yahoogroups.com Go there and sign up! You need to feed more than organ meat. Meanwhile, NO PUMPKIN.  Give him some tiny bits of beef, pork, chicken and see if he eats it.  Smash up a little (tiny amount) of chicken bone and add it to the chunks. He’s a carnivore and they don’t eat veggies.  Pumpkin and rice are not for dogs or cats… please.  Give him little chunks (small) of any kind of meat.  If he won’t eat the raw meat, try to sprinkle something smelly like the juice from a canned cat food or sprinkle a tad bit of some “stinky” cheese on it.

John, does that remedy fit his symptoms?  FIP/FIV/FeLV 30c. However it said that in advance case of FIP this wouldn’t work. Did you give him the remedy? Sending you private e-mail.

Nosode remedies rarely help in cases of the actual disease they are made from. In fact they can make things much worse so I would avoid them in that situation.

Can you give more symptoms?

Hello,

thirty years ago I had the diagnosis FIP for a four years old cat. they said, prognosis infault. I decided to try a cure with

“Viruvetsan”. That was in Germany a common remedy in vetmed, a complexremedy mixed out of murex purpurea and

coffea tosta. I gave 20 drops to the water ,every day for nearly one year. After that I renewed the information every three

months for one week in the same way. The cat became 24 years old!!!
